About

Hi!

I'm Kalyan Chakravarthi, you may just call me Kalyan (kaa-lee-yan). I believe in the principle of "Learn to Share | Share to Learn" and I intend to use this blog to scribble about things that IMO could be useful for someone walking along the trail as me and potentially can save some effort without falling into the pits I may have fallen into. 😊

For now, my professional life tagged me as "Cloud Architect" giving me the opportunity to solve IT challenges for Enterprises and help them meet IT Agility and Efficient Infrastructures. I previously worked in Banking, Retail, and IT Services verticles in few roles under IT. After my Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, I have been offered a role for Windows Infrastructure management and the experiences, challenges helped me take little steps to explore more into managing and deploying Infrastructure efficiently using automation and virtualization.

I get excited about all things cloud as it continues to evolve and the interesting scenarios it helps address. It's interesting to see the evolution of things from self-hosted > DECENTRALISED (colocated hosting closest to your users) > CENTRALISED (concentrated cloud regions at dense populations) > DECENTRALISED (Edge compute and the low-latency possibilities with 5G) > and don't know what!

I seek for opportunities to help contribute back to the society/communities by sharing knowledge/know-how/expertise/experiences the way the blogs/notes on the internet helped me become who I am today in trying out something I didn't know before but giving the courage to experiment and fail. I would to echo this again that, indeed "Failing is Important for your Learning"

I believe in Open communities and adopt Open-Source principles to build sustainable efforts.

Thanks for dropping by!
